Can't decide which offer to choose

My last CTC was 12 LPA fixed and 2 lakhs variable, and I was a Software Development Engineer 1 (SDE 1) in that role. I have received two offers from different companies. One is a Series A startup that offers remote work, and the other is a Gurgaon-based unicorn that operates with in-office work only.

Which offer do you think I should accept?

The difference in the compensations does not seem that huge to risk a worse culture, if you are sure of a better culture at a little lower pay, that would be a much healthier option.

Yeah, you're right. I'm also leaning more towards the gaming company, but the "unicorn" status of the other organization is something I'm also considering. Even the market valuation of both the companies are drastically different.

Be very wary of B2B commerce. Barely any of them are product focused, and your skills will deplete over time.

If you can tell me the startup, I can maybe let you know how shady it is (I hope it's not Dealshare?)

Not the gaming startup, have very little idea about that space. But I imagine your skills as an SDE will improve much more there

It is not exactly a B2B commerce, It is more of a "shipping and logistics service provider". They ship at rocket speed.

I have heard some very bad reviews from some engineers of this rocket company on Reddit.

To be honest, I've heard the same, but the higher salary is what's attracting me. I just don't know if this will be the right choice or not.

Gaming will see a lot of growth in India and Globally. Also with remote work, you save time snd money.

That makes sense. I've also had interactions with some of the employees there, and it appears that they have a great work culture. However, the compensation is lower

Go for remote you have peace of mind

I was thinking of going with this option for the same reason; mental peace is my priority.

Should go with Gaming one as you will immense exposure and will get to learn a lot of new things and implemwnt the same. With 1.4 years experience, I think this is a better bet. B2B is a more stable kind of thing and would not get to learn a lot as things move pretty slow there. Even if you get kicked out or the company closes in a year, you will have learned enough to get you a better paying job within 2 months.

Yeah, that's true, the tech stack is even better there. I'm leaning towards the gaming company.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess the company for b2b to be ofbusiness.

Quite a strong company if that's the case.
