Hello Mates, I have asked for the release from my project and they agreed as well to release me but now my manager is manipulating me you don’t know the situation of RMG better stay with us its not always about money. I have been working with tcs from 5 years still waiting for the promotion and my project dm says we don’t have budget, how do I trust the words of my manager.
What ur manager has said right ..I'm in project bench since 6months . We get calls from mis matches skillset,we are asked to visit RMG ofc..we are getting mostly USA projects,which obviously has meetings post 8:00pm.. At the end I would,do what ur instinct say..u hav to take risk at some point
Your manager is correct. If you have the skill change the time on your own else wait for a good time. Good time i mean to say till the market is up, right now the IT market is not on the right track.
I give you suggestions, on an existing project you have lots of things to do like:- Existing process review and trying to make it better, SIP, etc and best part you have a good time to learn new technology and enhance your skills after that try to look in the market.
In this way you enjoyed your project, work and finally the upcoming market.
The thing is my manager is playing games with all of us he just was acting that he don’t wanna release me bla bla he wanted to acquire the higher position thats why all this game and he executed plan so well none of us got any hint about the game

You ask him to give the Promotion, then only you can stay in the current Project
Else
Take Release and go out of the Project now itself, or the current project team will release you by year end and they don't give good Band
Happily go out and try to get another project, but ask new Project Manager whether they can give you promotion, then only you can take their Project - This will work out

Till the time promotion is on top of your head, you will never ask for a firm release. Promotion is not project dependent and you can always ask for a promotion when you join the next project.
Tomorrow if the client is reducing people, you will be the first one to be removed.
I guess I will have to wait for a year after moving into next project to ask for promotion
Switch the organization... Remember one thing managers, team leads are not your frnds who will think about your future. Stick to your point that you want release from specific project... That's it's or you can switch organization
