Can we join TCS internal project
I wanted to know can anyone should join TCS internal project is it same as other project or any difference
only if you want to commit career suicide and get into a mental helath crisis. Avoid like the plague.
Internal projects
- Relaxed work but depends on manager
- Rating also easy to get and promotion
- you will not get real project experience unless you work in pre sales roles
- no on-site openings
What is DER
I will not agree with your first 3 points....I work in internal project I switched many technologies internally the team so real time work experience and flexible work option is there. Rating and promotion depends on your colleagues if you are critical resource you will get easily. Relaxed work mostly but there are time where you will have work pressure.
Been in one most relaxed life it is. No cruel deadlines. No objection from anyone. That’s actual government job. Easy leave approvals. Good bands. Hikes etc.
What you will lose is the experience that one builds.
Client interactions.
Working in pressure.
On site opportunity.
While switching you need some quality experience you will not get here.
Etc.
Each coin has two sides. This is also the same. Nothing new
Bang on assessment and agree every coin had two sides .
So depending on what stage of your career you are in you can make your choices . If you feel you are done learning and need a stable relaxed environment you can opt for this .
But if you are a starter and ambitious about career growth and salary wise feel yourself to be under paid this would not be a good option.
