I got to know from a manager in a meeting that December cycle they only talk about hikes, variable pay and things while june cycle is for promotions and fixed pay changes

Exactly… but my manager said that I will be getting promoted to senior analyst by September. So I am not sure if he is lying or telling truth. Because somedays back I said to my team lead that I might be resigning in next 2 months because I am not seeing any financial growth.
