Can we change unit?
I need to change one Unit to another unit, is it possible to change unit in TCS after two years of working.
If you are on bench, for first month your profile will be circulated only inside your unit. After one month you will be able to go to any unit
Now the rule has changed..if you are on the bench for 7 days then your profile will go to the WAR room and from there anybody can take , i mean you can go to any unit.
Not sure if we can change it. My unit was changed by rmg after 2 weeks of being on the bench and not getting any role according to my techstack. My colleague was also on the bench, and he got a project in a different unit via internal reference, but rmg scolded him saying "who asked you to interview and accept another unit's project". Then we came to know about all this.....
You can , but your unit heads will not accept your request Last time one of my friends got interviewed for a project in a different unit , once the project team sent a request to the rmg for allocation , my friend got tagged to other project in the same unit without his consent ,when he questioned about this they clearly stated we cannot tag you to other unit Note: This might not be the case with every one , all the best

If you do not get a project in your unit for 2 weeks then your unit gets changed according to the project you take up.
Yes. But speak to Rmg if you are on the bench. If you are not unallocated then you need to know someone from the other unit who can tell you if there is an opening in their project That's how you can change the unit. RMG cannot force you once the unit has been changed.
You can change it. There is no hard rule as such. Anything can happen in tcs. Just arrange a project willing to take you in.
