Hi all, needed some advise on whether I can bring my car from Gujarat to here in Bangalore. Any NOC or any other document needed from home state?

You'll have to legally change its registration to a local one in 6 months of getting the car here. There's a fine if you don't.

That said, driving around since the past 4 years, just paid a 500 fine for it once

I'm ok with the fine then. Thanks :)

Mine is Gujarat registered. A year + done. Nobody cares. Don't waste registration charges for the most expensive road tax and worst roads in the country.

And make sure renewed your both vehicle's pollution certificate in your current state. 'coz of that expires when you are in different state you will have to travel back to your state as you cannot renew polution in another State.

A friend said this when I asked him if he has changed registration when he brought car from other state -

If anyone asks, you may tell that you moved recently. Mostly, they will be okay with it.

It think you can do that. One of my friend got his car and bike from chhatisgarh and he didn't had to do any extra paperwork.
