Can the manager force me to work outside working hours or on weekends?

Definitely you can deny working outside working hours anytime. That's the law. But as you know we live in a lawless country. Nobody gives a damn about it. It will affect your appraisal. They will have a ton of a reason to deny you good bands.

Bro don't entertain ofc PPL on weekends... you're getting salary for weekdays and 9 hours only...if she is trying to reach you on WhatsApp and any other unofficial platform don't reply. Enjoy the weekend with your family, career growth and friends. She'll say ok claim for food and travel... don't entertain. Your time is more precious. I have worked on weekends when I was fresher....even continuously for 14 days with the team. When the supervisor came on Monday in the stand up. She is like they haven't done anything... they're doing the timepass.. don't entertain any colleagues on weekends. Also don't tell them that you're free on weekends give them some reason that you're out of station and all. You're a fresher PPL will try to make pressure on you for work. Don't do it. Also take all the things in the mail. Why is she not coming on weekends why only other PPL surviving with this shit.

Bro No one can make you work extra hours without any kind of benefits provides ir compoff. Sometimes its needed to connect on weekends for as support to production but if it becomes norm then give yourself some respect, don't pick up manager call on weekends. When asked say i was out of town. Soon she will realise this person will not budge. Meanwhile get prepared to have impact on your next appraisal. It's simple..either u don't pick the call or if she told u in advance like on friday to work on weekend then told her that u have some plan already that u can't change....also in either case u r spoiling ur relation with her which is not good for ur future in this project so u have 2 choices either try to get release from project OR switch from here as posting grievance will also not help u here in TCS.

According to the new working hours policy update they can. It specifically says an employee has to support extra hours when the customer requires. But you can say no depending on the priority of the task. It is like a immediate bug fix then you cannot say no.

Do not answer calls on Weekends or better say I have gone to falana place every weekend she calls you... After a while she will stop calling... Better get a hobby and do that on weekend so that you have an excuse for yourself.💫

1. Ask the manager to drop an email regarding the weekends.
2. Take comp-off, if you will work on weekends.
3. If you don't want work on weekends, reply on that email that I have some personal commitments hence will not be available for weekends.
