Can Tcs stop pay or fire you?

I have 3 yrs of experience in tcs,I was on bench for 5 months, now I got the project on development, they took my interview and I was selected, and they told allocated me to the project ,swon was done , and onboarding process was going on. After 3 days they told me that onsite wanted to meet you ,so they set up a call with them ,but it was kind of an interview. They rejected me as they wanted some more experience with certification. So my delivery manager told me that he has another project and it is an L2 support analyst., I asked them as I was interviewed for a development position and i selected for that , but now how can u put me in a support project. I am ready for any other development project and will give the interview but they didn't listen. I declined that project, so the project head took it to the RMg and Hr . And now they mailed me either I have to accept the support project or they will take disciplinary action and stop pay. Is it possible to stop paying in such a case or what they can do?

Better to switch as quick as possible rather than staying here and worrying. I understand market scenario is not that good but you will get atleast something rather than worrying here atleast keep trying I'll suggest. Rest is upto you, you know your condition better than anyone else.

I saw few associates of ur experience in project in same condition where they looking for development, but got support.

They managed few months in support and got new offer in 8 months.

See if that way works for u. But don't stay too long in role if u cant learn much. Either shift new company or new project after few months.
