Can someone give me a sense of salary for Principal at a leading VC fund based in Mumbai? Just for ref - 15+ years of experience.

Your years of experience & last drawn comp have no value tbh. Any VC can pay a share of their management fees (2% of active capital under management); so even if you join with 15 YoE as a principal of a 50M usd fund, they wouldn’t be able to pay you more than 45-50L since they need to manage ALL of their yearly expenses from the 2% fees
