Can someone explain what the requirements are for promotion from C1 to C2?
My manager keeps saying my account isn't old enough to be eligible yet. He said I'll need to be 3.5 YoE to be eligible half a year ago.
Now that I'm at 3.5, he says it's 4 YoE.
Your manager is just delaying your promotion. The requirement is clearly 3.5 years of experience. Don't let them fool you with changing criteria. Stand your ground and demand what's rightfully yours.
From my own experience, I got promotion from C1 to C2 after reaching 4.25 YOE with 3 A's Band

Promotion criteria depends on the banding if you get A banding for 2 consecutive years then you will be eligible for promotion after 6 months from the second banding. If B banding then it is after 3 banding and 6 months.
If some is 3 to 3.5 years , how can he gets 3 Bands because in first years they only give rating not band.
It’s anywhere between 3.5-4. You should have 3 A Bands to be eligible for early promotion from C1 to C2

Minimum experience required is 3 years to get from C1 to C2. If you have 3 consecutive A in your yearly rating then you will directly get promotion in 3 years. If have mixed ratings then you have to get atleast 2 consecutive A's in your rating. If you are more than 5 years in C1 grade then irrespective of rating you can get promotion if your manager can request for your promotion but the percentage hike depends on the latest rating you got.
