Can projects reject you solely on the basis that you are on bench and have ML planned after next 4months?
My team mate got released and is currently on bench. She is pregnant and planning to go on ML in mid-march next year. She is not getting any projects because of this and RMG also asking her to go on leave starting Dec itself. Is this fair? Is there any TCS policy regarding this?
Same thing happened to me in previous company. No one wanted me and they took that as an opportunity to screw my rating as well

When I was in my 3rd month I got released from my project...I somehow got next project...but in my new project I have not told about my pregnancy till yet ...right now I am in my 7th month.If I will tell them they will release me immediately,so somehow I am managing my health and work.I will be telling them in 8th month seeing the current situation in TCS.Your friend also should not have told them earlier and should have got in some project silently,it would have helped her.
Actually seeing such things should not happen. But with current situation no one will be ready to take risk.
Any long term project will not onboard her as after 4 month they need to release her from project for ML.It does not make any logic to them to give her KT and release again in next 4 month.Any short term project ending in next 6 month may take her.
Sadly it's true, they won't onboard knowing that soon the resource will be on long leave
