Can I make a high salary switch with just Python and SQL as a low YOE(1-2) DE/ Data Analyst?
I see entry level DE roles in companies like Amazon/Google and they require knowledge of countless tools I haven't even heard of. In my current role, I only use PostgreSQL for ETL and DB modelling but have very deep knowledge of it ( like you would expect from 5 YOE ppl)- I know advanced stuff like covering indexes, bitmap scan , partitioning . Have learnt tools like Airflow and all but ofc as I don't use it in my job it doesn't count for much while applying. Know Pandas and have done 1-2 basic projects with it as well in work. I have done some random ML and scraping work as well in current role( but it doesn't count for much again)
I have milked most of the SQL questions in channels like Ankit Bansal and am confident in it. What more should I focus on upskilling, and what type of companies should I aim for to a get to atleast 11-12 LPA preferably remote ( current CTC- 7 but remote)
