Can I Join a New Company While Serving Notice Period in TCS?

Hi all,

Currently, I am serving my notice period at TCS. The HR team is not agreeing to an early release and has insisted that I serve the full 90 days. However, my new company’s joining date is February 1, while my last working day at TCS will be at the end of February.

The new company is not agreeing to extend the joining date, and I am keen to join them. I am not particularly interested in continuing with TCS.

Can I work for both TCS and the new company simultaneously during this overlap? Would this create any issues or problems legally or professionally?

Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Bro, working for both companies at the same time is a big no-no. It can cause serious legal and professional issues. 😎 Focus on negotiating with TCS for an early release or talk to the new company about your situation. Don't risk it, yaar.

🤣 only a tcser can write such things. Can I work in another company while working in TCS. Same here, they are not ready to give me release earlier but ready to pay to make me seat idle and do nothing. From 6 months I have been idle and they want me to serve a notice period of 3 months. Even I told Hr to release me early by checking with my manager and their approval. She told me about their policy of 3 months. So let them pay for doing nothing with their efficient management and HR policy.

Try to grab another order

It would create issues to an extent you may lose your job, bgv now a days are very strict and if they find PF overlap you will be fired.
Ask for an early release if possible

Try for notice period buyout. Sometimes TCS releases early with 1 month salary
