Can I get release if I provide medical documents and asking for release from the project

I am completely depressed due to job stress. My brain is always thinking about the work and Sometimes I feel heavy in the chest part and all the body levels get low and I don't know what I am doing and body gets cool and starts sweatting and due to that sometimes feels to suicide. Regularly I am getting health issues.

I have a total of 4.10 years experience, in TCS 2.10 years. Skill set Manual testing and Automation testing Selenium with Java.

In the current project they are expecting the work to get done complete automation testing for whole project by 2 resources actually it has to be done by 12-15 resources. In September, I applied for 6 days of sick leaves in an intention they may release me from a project if I take regularly sick leaves but they are not. Currently no offers in hand but sometimes feels to put down the papers but again I feel if I put down the papers I am the only resource of income in the family and if anything goes wrong my family gets affected. My health condition is getting very badly effecting day by day. So, I want to get release from the current project.So what approach can I take to get released?
