Trending @Infosys; Can I fake my designation?

Hi guys, I am a test engineer in Infosys, I am trying to switch to a developer role, so can I fake my designation as a systems engineer in my resume? Or should I put a Test Engineer only.

Why would u do that.....that is fundamentally incorrect. You should Attend some trg. Do some POC on accelerate , take feedback / recomm. From the task owner and leverage the same ...

Bro , you can do it. Just ignore every other MF saying it's unethical in the comments section. Many of friends have done this. Don't think much , just do it. Fuck everyone

I think... In Background verification, Infosys can't reveal on which project you worked upon. They only verify if you worked for Infosys at mentioned position for the mentioned period of time

Experience letter has the mention of our designation, I don't think you can fake it. Also in background verification, they will verify it through infy HR's and reporting manager.

Your position would be mentioned in your experience letter that could later become a problem so I recommend not doing that. In my previous organisation I had an option to set my designation after promotion so I faked it and the same showed up on my experience letter so it worked for me that way

Designation and role are two different things. Try to play the role that you desire first. Then update your role in resume. Mention role in project details section. Mention your designation in the experience section.

In BG check ,previous company don't reveal much details except how many years you worked, last working day, joining date. Sometime candidate forget to update LinkedIn or naukri profile. Make sure you practice well for interview so that you will confident enough to crack it. Then after you 3 months to gain more expertise.

There's no issue in trying. If you got the job good. If you don't, always skill up and try again.
