Trending @Accenture; Can I expect promotion this year atleast

I have been in Accenture for 4 years with around 8 years experience at level 11 from joining. The manager is saying it is not in his hands.

You should look for other opportunities in my opinion. I share similar YOE as yours and im at level 9. Plus, you’ve spent too long here for them to consider you important. Im sorry if I sound harsh but it is the sad reality of corporate world. I too will become redundant if I stay here for too long. Switching is the only way forward.
