They won't do that, cause they have instructions to keep people on project unless underperforming then they release give pip or terminate etc stuff. Or best time to ask for release after checking your staff allocation ending dates, they are more chances of getting release if staffing date is ending soon unless ofc you're a critical or required resource then they will be toxic and don't release
