Come out of your mindset. The average person really doesn't care in the end. IIT is hyped only for being a placement cell, not for knowledge. Since you already are in a job, that tag should not matter now.

Most people don't know the company name. But they know IIT. It gives them confidence that they are marrying a daughter to a hardworking person and he will be able to find a good job.

Me not an IITIAN . Earning more than majority of IITIANS . I can definitely say it’s only looks , height and money that matters in arrange marriage setup . Not your IIT /IIM tags .These are the prime filters. Once that is done . You are judged on your nature/emotional maturity. Even when you clear those rounds .You have to bear their ego and listen to of all their tantrums. One these are done you are eligible.
