It depends on eligibility and whether or not your name is in the eligibility list. Post that your manager has to send his recommendation

Reach out to your manager and ask him/her if your name came up in the eligibility list or when will you become eligible for promotion.

As far as i knew, PA to A promotion is automated. Is there anything changed recently?

Yes bro they changed policy but don't know what exactly some of them are saying it is quota based another case is rating based

Promotion is not automated only the eligibility list is generated by the system. Post that managers have to send out the nominations from that list. Then it will be reviewed by next level management and then finalize
