Do you have a offer in hand , if not then no point in resigning, there are 50% chances HR will ask to resign and pay you 3 months salary

But if you have a offer in hand then why tell , wait for them to offer 3 months salary however there is downside that they clear your IP

Best scenario is if your PIP is not started then don't accept IP and say i am fine to resign but won't accept IP
