Can a company take any legal action against you?

Hey Guys,

So I had an offer from a few companies including Blinkit for the role of Software Engineer. But I did not join any of them. And refused last minute. Can they take any legal action against me?

not only blacklist you, but also share with few friends in the industry, so you won't be hired at few known companies ever

Yeah sure lol. I've seen prople do this countless times with no repercussions except for maybe burning bridges with that particular HM. Maybe the company too at max.

No, companies generally won't take legal action, but they will black-list you, so you will never be hired by that company again in the future

Chill, its so common in India.

If you join and dont come next day then also company is not gonna take legal action but you wont be hired next time for sure

No, companies cannot take legal action if you decline an offer before joining. At-will employment applies in India too—you’re free to reject offers until your start date.
