Call from Manager regarding promotion
So a week ago I got a call from my unit Delivery head requesting some details about for promotion. Is is this done for all the associates to whom promotion is initiated or only to few people.
I don’t understand why I received the call is it general propose? Can anyone who got promoted last quarter explain your experience. It would be a great help.

Honestly, nothing's set in stone. Me and my colleague are eligible since a very long time and our promotion was initiated 3 quaters ago, meaning last year. And every quarter they take details like this from us. And yet here we are. No promotion till date. Sorry to disappoint you.

I got promoted in last quarter, I told my manager I was looking for a promotion in teams. Then he called me asking details like my last 2 Bands and other achievements. Then told me to send an email stating all my achievements and request for promotion.
By the month end I got promoted.
I was quite surprised , to get promoted this soon.
By reading other people's promotion experience from quora and reddit I was expecting it to take 6 months to 1yr.
Yes my Manger is also asking about this details. BTW currently I am c1 and will complete 3 yrs in TCS in October
When we can expect final promotion results?
To initiate promotion they need to mention your achievements so he would have collected the details for this purpose. Also there will be an excel that float across with the recommended candidates across the project/account/unit etc

Do you guy know what all to do or need to get promoted from C3B to C4? Exp 14 years and salary 35L working as a data analyst(sql/tableau) etc. and C4 does what role?
Many promotions get stuck indefinitely at Corp HR level. So don't hold your breath
