C3B Resigned and Retention Offered

I am C3B and resigned in September. My Supervisor/HR trying to retain me offered me matched CTC. Supervisor informed me that TCS started retaining employees and my CTC already approved by the unit, just pending with the corporate.

I am having complete WFH privileges and good visibility till leadership level.

Holding Offer Deloitte India. Lwd in Tcs is dec first week.

What to do? Suggestion would be very helpful.

Go for Deloitte. Don't believe on any counter offer.

Just read the revised offer letter carefully… also check the variable component … there might be some conditions which you can easily overlook …and why are you not going for Deloitte?

Deloitte offer is just 18-20 percent of hike, also in TCS I am working from home while Deloitte 2-3 days WFO is mandatory. My total CTC here plus 1.5 lkh is the fixed at Deloitte while performance pay is not defined Deloitte say 12-15 percent. My next revision at Deloitte would be post 1.5 years. Since they follow may cycle

If you are retained now in tcs, there are high chances you will not get a hike in salary the next appraisal cycle..check with hr

In the next review you might get C because of this hike and if required they will use this against you. Ask for a confirmation that they will not put you in the fludity list for next 2 years

What about Deloitte india, is it a good company and in terms of stability?
Does anyone have any idea on that??

“My total ctc + 1.15 lakh is fixed in Deloitte”

This sentence alone is enough to convince you to switch. Also, Deloitte will give details of variable after you join and its nearly always better than TCS. The variable is not part of CTC in Deloitte (unlike TCS).

Even though TCS will match in terms of CTC you will definitely have a lower fixed salary and lets not even talk about variables in TCS which the company and management can eat up anytime.

Check your tax statement and re evalaute offer. I feel you wrongly read your tcs offer

You will get the revised offer probably before a week from your last working day and that too only over email may be on friday eve and will ask you to confirm by next day so that you won't get much time. Whatever they will increase it will go in additional so basic salary will remain same. But you will be eligible for next year appraisal if happens. This same thing happened with me few years back. I accepted considering same WFH and other things .

Well, my 2 cents would be to wait for the overlap day. Meaning the last day to accept the offer from Deloitte and the LWD in TCS. If your revised compensation letter of TCS reaches you on or before the last day of accepting the Deloitte offer, stay back. If not, you know what to do. That way, you give a fair chance to everything and deciding what's best for you at this point in time.

Take couter offer from TCS, wait for 6 months and again resign, so that you will get hike on new salary which would be much more. you play the game against TCS and hurt them where it hurts the most, retained and again resign on their face, just my 2 cents

Higher salary but with 1 less switch on resume
