I got promoted in 3.5 years. The year I got promoted from C2 to C3A I was given B band citing promotion and A band cannot be given together. Then next two years I got two A band and my manager initiated promotion.

I have been straight A since joining TCS except twice B in my years of promotion.
It all depends upon your relationship with Reporting manager and the account leadership. 18 years in TCS, started as a BPO associate, I have bagged 5 promotions so far and also Converted to IT grade. Ofcourse, performance is key but more importantly it's about how you sell your performance to the leadership and convince them you deserve promotion. Sitting in one role for years won't give u promotion.
I have 3 straight As and, not yet promoted.. always get to hear.. nobody can stop your promotion if it opens! I am fed up
All depends on your offshore SDM, One A and Two B is enough for eligibility
