C2 Promotion TCS
I've joined as a fresher and completed 5 years in TCS and yet to receive ITA promotion. I've been informed there has been no promotion cycle since last year. I'm really not sure whether this is real or its manager and HR's cheap politics. I'm frustrated with this. There's no proper communication or response from anyone. I understand all the hikes were delayed this year, but is it the same for promotion? Did anyone get promoted this year? If not, when can I expect it. Please pour your advice.
PS: I'm staying with TCS for some personal reasons, and I'm not on the bench. I've had 3 A bands in the last 3 years.
Bro, if annual hike was on hold how do you expect promotion cycle to be open. The annual hike is bare minimum employee benefit in any organisation however the promotion is secondary. It's on hold since one year. And eventhough it will open there is no guarantee that it will be done soon. There is a big queue in the waiting list for promotions and if you are expecting any benefit frm the company then it should be on site or tbrough wings exam. However I still suggest you should try for switch.
It happened on Nov/Dec last year. It’s on hold since then.
HR has nothing to do with your promotion. They don't give a damn if you're promoted or not. This is all with your Delivery head, but the promotion window needs to open first.
Leadership usually divert these type of questions to HR, to save thier bum.

Don’t do the mistake to be in any MNC for more than 5 years. Let it be any reason. You will regret later for sure, at that time your batch mates will earn thrice and you will definitely feel depressed. And to answer your questions TCS rolled out promotions last April. Next cycle will be in November. Since you have 3 A’s you will be eligible, ask your manager to initiate. All the best.
