By far the worst design decision by X
The GROK icon is by far the worst design pattern I came across by X. I mean this is wrong at so many levels
- impacts consistency in navigation bar
- It’s more complex than the other icons
- it’s larger than other icons in nav bar
- Also it’s an eyesore
I do understand that sometimes designs are there intentionally out of place to get attention on a new feature but seriously this. Probably X should remove the "GROK" text from the icon or How about, new icons all the way?
Either ways I think a lot of folks are talking about this so it’s Mission Accomplished to draw attention to Grok!

By far the only people who care about aesthetics in a design are designers. In this case, given the design:
1/ would people not use it?
2/ would people have trouble accessing it?
3/ would people notice the pattern break and stop using it?
There is no downside to this unless it is unusable. I know designers like to keep things clean and aesthetically pleasing, but if that’s the criteria, you are not a good designer.
