Yes as a senior BA I did realise the same. 6year ago when I started my career there was a big demand for BA but now it's fading out. Now it feels like it was a call for experimenting with a new role in market. Today it's better if BA upgrade to PM and Product owner who does exact the same activity with some add ons.

Try PM or Product owner for any product based org and not service based, alternate path would be specialise in specific BA skills like in Power BI or scrum master or cyber security or analytics with deep data specialist which will never fade away in market
