So it's about my cities electricity department.

I live in a joint family which is in situation similar to 'Mirzapur ki gaddi' Varchasv ki ladai hai aur gaadi pe koi baitha nahi hai (my grandpaa died a decade back) So how it happens in almost all of UP we had katiya (illegal connection) I raised the problem beforehand but you know how it goes in joint family no one wants to take the expense. One day Junior Engineer caught us and at that day I got to visit Electricity dept office for the very first time( Gave me Office Office vibes).

I checked with a line man in office premisse and he said that it'll take atleast 25K INR to settle the matter. Meanwhile my family got another lead to settle it in 15K. (No report No FIR and no questions asked) and we went with that. BTW got a legal connection atleast for the part of house that I use (don't want my parents to be part of any FIR in their 2nd phase of life)

Things I learnt:

• Always talk to JE, SDO don't engage with any other employee first hand(they are their to scam you)

• Once we got legitimate connection I observed a sense of reponsibility in family to switch off the applinces which was not use (previously we took it for granted)

• Thanks to digital India and JE, Most of the work happens online.
