Isn't this modern life. We pay the extra for convenience, quality, or perceived quality/status.

Imo worth it I use the same binded Muji notebook and the pen

In that form factor (smaller size), it's one of the highest quality stationary products

You can cheap out and buy different stuff, but if it ends up being a nice habit, worth it.

People out there buying iPad for the same stuff, don't regret it haha
