BLR vs NCR

I am planning my next switch. I am originally a Delhi boy, but have lived in both NCR(Noida, GGN, Delhi) as well as BLR. Blr has its perks like it's ecosystem, weather, and vibe, but then, there is racism and bad Infra.

NCR, is a known ecosystem for me, but no one can deny that there are more jobs and opportunities in BLR, apart from NCRs shit weather etc.

For people who have been in similar situation, what do you think is the right step to take here? I have been a proponent of choosing a single place to work, hence moved back to Delhi from BLR, but I continuously feel the fomo of not being in BLR, wrt to opportunities etc.

Is BLR now the go to place for Tech Jobs, or should we try harder and find something in GGN/ DEL.

Objectively, if you haven't hit a glass ceiling on salary, stay there.

Thanks, this is a good reason.

Being lived in both the cities i suggest staying here is better. There is an extra effort required to do anything in Bangalore even for the basic things like food, stay etc.

If Delhi is your hometown, please stay there. You'll save a lot. You'll have plenty of opportunities there as well. No need to have a fomo feeling

Both no. How about Hyderabad? That has been voted to be the best city to live in india for a few years. It has ample of opportunities and from what I have heard, much better infra than Bengaluru and much cleaner air than NCR.

Coming from the same background and being a Delhiite working in Bangalore I would suggest you to stay back in Delhi. What Bangalore is offering might sound very appealing to youngster but soon you would find it’s not that good and you would be longing to go back to Delhi .

It’s not about being racist or anything but pls stay in NCR. Bangalore is full to the brim. If you have facilities there why come here?

True , BLR is full , if I have opportunity to work in tier 3 city with good climate and peace ✌️ i would go for it , blr survives on tanker water , poor infrastructure and over crowded

Racism, I would not say exists in Bangalore. There are certain bad elements who do that, but this is a very nice and accepting place.

Both are different levels of Hell, rotting infrastructure, corruption infested gobarment machinery.

I’m from Punjab and working in Bangalore from two years.
You will only get a good salary, apart from a salary you will not get anything. My experience

  1. High Salary as compared to Delhi but cost of living is high as compared to Delhi
  2. High rent and high deposit, if rent is 10K then the deposit will be 3L to 6L as advance
  3. Too much traffic, for a 1 or 2 km distance you have to travel for at least one hour. In the rain, it will be worse.
  4. Food issue for north people, in Hostel or Pg you will get only south Indian Pg, while calling to Pg they will tell u we're giving north food also. South Indian food is lightweight as we are from the north we need a heavy diet.
  5. Within in month you will see weakness in your body.
  6. High school fees as compared to the north
  7. Language problems for your kids in school because Bangalore people only focus on the Kanad Language, even though faculty also.
  8. If you want to stay with your family and one kid in Bangalore you need at least 2L in hand salary after every deduction. Don't think in 2L you will save something for your future. Just u will survive only.
  9. Lots of points I can add but this is the main point
  10. Think twice if you're coming to Bangalore.
  11. If you are earning less than Bangalore in Delhi, but you will save more than Bangalore.
  12. I'm planning to move to Delhi or Hyderabad. I'm married but not possible to bring my family to Bangalore. In the end, you will cry for your family or mom or dad.
  13. If u need help or any point for Bangalore feel free to message me.
  14. It is my experience for others I can not say

I would have moved out just cause of pollution. This keeps getting worse and worse. It's not even November and the AQI has gone to poor. fml

Great to see Delhi NCR people fighting the forced narratives of North vs South

People have this weird notion that Delhi/Gurgaon isn't safe and that the folks here are as warm as an ice cube in Antarctica. Can you believe that? This narrative has been doing the rounds for so long that it's starting to affect the mig...

Good companies in NCR

It’s not unheard of that most good companies in India are based in BLR or now HYD.

But what are some of the few good companies in NCR (Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida)? Considering that they’re an upgrade over my current employer i.e. Blinkit / Z...
