Biggest lie in standup -confessions
This is to ask everyone what is the biggest lie they have told in the morning standup just bcoz the manager wants sone daily progress. I told them I am facing environment issues and need a day to fix it. Is it fair by management to ask their resources to finish complex tickets in one day. People need time to actually figure out the code. Why can't they chill a bit n check the Jira board. We have been working long hours n weekends for the sprint already. But asking us to invent updates every morning is just too much. DAILY STANDUPS SERIOUSLY NEED TO STOP!!!
I think everyone in the stand up knows who's faking it and talking gibberish and who actually did work.
Depends on manager to manager. Some are shit some are good. I remember in one of the project there used to be 3 stand ups - One at 10 AM , then at 3 PM and then at 7PM. And in case any updates were same as that of previous one, she used to get furious. Gazab lodu manager thi !!
You can’t do much in this case. Fake it till you make it. 1rs k kaam ko 100rs ka kaam bol k becho. Or don’t give all your updates at once. Give it in part by part manner.
