Trending @Accenture; Bigger the level more the visibility

There is this AM who recently joined our project. Has very toxic vibes, I have seen him unhappy about other people's hikes and promotions. He has not contributed anything special to the project but he has a very good reputation infront of the managers. I fear if he gets promoted he will make the place even more toxic, ever dealt with such people?
