BGV contents. PLEASE HELP

Hi all. I want to switch to digital marketing/market strategy/marketing research role. My role in current company is totally different, even though I have the digital marketing skills, if I lie on my resume to apply in other company and they select me, are roles and responsibilities part of background verification or it's just tenurity, name, criminal record check??
