It's may seem lucrative to join tcs as you will be offered a decent ctc but remember .
Tcs has 37 percent of its ctc set as variable pay.

Performance pay - only paid monthly when you are billble. This is a bigger chunk of you monthly pay almost 35 percent. If this is gone then you are screwed.

Bonus - Paid quarterly and max you get 50 percent. No matter what you do

12 month completion bonus paid in 13th month
When calculating all this I realized that although tcs offered me a ctc of 25 +% hike but in relaity my fixed income at cts was 25 L percent more than what I would get in tcs. Hence offer turned down.

I have got similar kind of offer from TCS. I simply told them to structure it in proper way. Basic pay of TCS is very low.

What is your current CTC and offered CTC? Also, what is your YOE

Same happened with me. Even after getting 30% hike there was not much difference in salary so I turned down the offer
