If some issue comes amount gets stuck in case of gpay, both Paytm and phonepe good in this aspect
If a bank is shit then UPI can't do anything, SBI almost made me wash dishes quite a few times

Thankfully other family members don't use SBI, but yes I have waited for an hour at restaurants to finally settle payments with SBI, now I pay first before ordering

Googlepay Anyday. It doesn't try to sell me 50 other products and barely ever lags unlike paytm.
Gpay fails a lot so switched to Paytm, transaction never failed and it's also super fast
