Best place to set up startup office in Bangalore?

Hi Bangalore folks,

I would be moving to Bangalore for the first time next month. I am a startup founder in early 20s and our current team strength is 4 founders (to go to 7-8 by end of year)

I was wondering what would be the best location in Banglore to set up a small office (within co-working spaces mostly) alongside getting a nearby 3BHK house for the 4 of us

  • Flat would be for 4 of us, and tentative budget is 60K collectively
  • We don't need to visit The Koramangala-indirangar area frequently but would like to stay close
  • I don't know if possible but an area with greenery+ less traffic would be great (for ex- a gated society would work well)

Any suggestions on area we should look for?

My friend in similar situation. If you’ve $$s go for wework. Nothing can beat their quality.

Setup office in banergaata. Lots of good society. Plus wework banergata is op

HSR layout. The place is a great mix of residential area, office space and hangout places. You'd find a lot of co-working offices on 17th cross road which has a section specially called 'the unicorn lane' cause a lot of soonicorns/unicorn were based out there.

The area is almost a startup hub and you may find a great talent pool there as well. Very urban and next to Koramangala with lesser traffic woes.

Do you know a tentative price range for a 3bhk in HSR layout?

In gated societies, the rent starts from 35k/ 40k+ depending on the area(sector) and in builder floors/ individual houses, you should be able to get 3bhk anywhere between 25K-35k

When everyone here is cribbing about bangalore infrastructure, traffic, inflation and localites. You still want to setup your office in Bangalore???. I just want to know....What makes you start your office in Bangalore and why not pune, hyderabad, mumbai, delhi??

To start with, the best engineering talent is already there because the best companies are there (chicken and egg problem) specifically if we want non-fresher talent initially

I hate traffic so may take someplace a little secluded in Bangalore but won't want to miss the constant meetups, events, opportunities to chat with people in person etc

Does it make sense?

yes sir...Then Whitefield near hopefarm is the best area for you. Its a bit secluded but now has metro connection too....

Come to Kalyan Nagar. It's not as busy as kora, relatively cheaper. Also developing rapidly. Lot of breweries, cafes, restuarants around. It's ideal. Around 10 kms from Indira nagar.

I would say near dollars colony JP nagar for multiple reasons. Indiranagar Koramangala is just 5 kms approx Not as crowded as ibdrngr or Koramangala lesser crime rate when compared to indiranagar Well designed infrastructure (jayanagar) Plus you would have nice neighborhood of majorly 40+ age people

That sounds really good! I would definitely search there when I get here
