I'm from Bangalore and I'm planning to move to the Nordics for my PhD. I want to know which country is the best for someone like me to settle down in later.
I've heard that some countries are more friendly towards brown people than others. As a techie, I know that having a good environment and community support is super important.
Which nordic country is the most welcoming for South Asians? Any experiences or advice?
The best country for PhD is India. Especially when you have foreign PhD, colleges in India will welcome you with both hands and feet.
You can earn good money, have great WLB, and best part is as part of UGC norms the prof in city and prof ina village college will be paid on similar lines. This is the equivalent of tech. Earning in USD and staying in India. The best part is there is no accountability. This is the closest a man can be like Rahul Gandhi in India.
Now before people come up with some shit reason like one can do better research in west, have better learning or any such nonsense. Remember, just around 0.1% of the researchers do something worthwhile. The competition for resources is extreme. It's so bad that corporate politics looks like kindergarten.
So ask yourselves a simple question do you want a relaxed life with good money or do you wish to fight over peanuts for a useless research that will be junked in a year?
