Benefits and opportunites
Hi everyone, I joined TCS about 6 months ago as an Azure AD Engineer at the C3A grade, with a salary of 16 LPA. I have 9 years of overall experience. To be honest, I accepted this offer even though it was a bit lower than my expected salary, due to the limited opportunities I was seeing at the time. Now that I'm settling in, I'm keen to understand more about TCS and how to maximize my growth here. Specifically, I'd appreciate insights on:
- TCS Benefits: What are some of the key benefits I should be aware of beyond the basics? Are there any hidden gems or underutilized resources?
- Career Growth & Upgradation: What's the smoothest and most effective way to get upgraded and grow within TCS? Are there specific certifications or skills I should focus on?
- Onsite Opportunities: What are the typical pathways to securing onsite assignments? What factors are considered, and what can I do to increase my chances?
- Azure AD Specific Growth: as an Azure AD engineer, what career path is best suited for me in TCS. I'm looking for practical advice and tips from those who have navigated similar paths within TCS. Any insights or experiences you can share would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I'm considering you aren't looking for a switch.
- Follow the wings curriculum. It's your best shot to get upskilled. You can even go for some recommended external certification for your BG.
- If you have decided to stay, be the best performer, I don't mean buttering up the management. It means, really do good work, get your work noticed, present your work and yourself the best way possible.
- Look out for TATA specific benefits/ programs for Mid level employees. Some under utilized benefits - Xcelerate mentorship, Holiday homes, procure books in IRC, Magzter etc.
