I joined here at Infy last month(march) as a lateral employee. I was tagged to a practice manager to whom I still don't have any contact. I tried to contact multiple times via email and teams chat to tpd,bphr and my manager to whom I was tagged I got seenzoned no reply from them. I joined as a Pega developer. I heard some news many are on bench still for the same role. Is there any possibility will I be considered or get any future opportunity? The only emails I am receiving is some people sending me random mapping details and later they are rejecting it idk what the heck is that. Please tell me how do I search further I am bit worried. I rejected multiple offers and joined here
Yeah I also joined recently. It’s been 2 week i also move to central bench.

😓 I also joined in March bro.. struggle is real.. they are hiring people in tons and don't care at all for bench people.. i heard some people are on bench for years

Check your offer letter if the np before probation ends is 1month then start applying to other organization's, aa their mappings sucks and if for Long time you're not mapped then they'll just assign you in not your skillet and will ask you to work on it still so better start looking outside

Change the company or reskill yourself

Also a heads up, after few months if you still feel stuck .. then you can switch ..next salary hike you will receive after 2/2.5 years 🤪 Here people earn either from skill tags or night shift allowances 🤣 and if your are dependable resource , resign and they will offer onsite opportunity 😏

Welcome to infy 😂 Mine story also started with the same note 😄 Here everyone is least bothered ..after few days few folks will come and assign random trainings 😜 Weeks become months and months become year 🤣 Even you do some external trainings mangers / DM are least bothered.
So if you want yourself to be occupied
Pick some accelerate tasks (kind of Adhock work ) here also opportunity arises .
And in L&C (learning and career ) go to career canva learn few terminology like DQ / skill tags / IJP / bridge program . These are the only terms most of the folks speak about .😌
In regards your mapping of project ,there is system in place (I staff - demand mapping) after every 3/5 days , system will assign project opportunity , you can either reach out to the manger or wise versa
. Most of the time you will receive mapping rejection mail ,don’t worry keep an eye on mails the more you read the good you are ..for reference there are 2 types of bench - unit bench (unit specific projects )and central bench (whole infy any managers can reach out )
Also note if you are mapped to a demand (I staff )it can happen that other manger might reach out on teams .. so keep a 1 pager resume handy 🙃
