Beginning my watch collection journey
I’m in my late 40s and I was always found of wrist watches (analog) and never had enough budget. Now I am tired of my Apple Watch that I bought 6yrs ago and I wanna buy analog automatic watches instead of spending another 50k on new Apple Watch.
I currently own a CasiOak Gsock, Fossil, diesel watches and I have realized fossil and diesel are waste of money.
My next purchase will be Seiko Alpinist SBP121J1, Hamilton Murph (from interstellar) and Oeient Bambino small seconds.
I have done enough research about watches but it seems I can’t get Hamilton or Orient in India … I can’t get them on Amazon India nor from other countries via Amazon. I have nobody from US visiting me… there is however Chrono24 but I am not sure if they’ll scam me …
Any insights?

I know friends ordered from chrono and they're legit but depends on the seller.. you'll need to ask for verification etc

A trip to Vietnam for a watch sounds wonderful but how much you’d pay for the trip + watch + customs on watch etc ?? Won’t it be cheaper just ordering it if possible?
Personally I'd write off the trip expenses as an experience and not related to the watch. If you're just doing it for the watch then it's not worth it, unless you plan on doing more shopping.
Flights are cheap round trip in off season 20k-ish Stay for a week + food 10-15k Visa- 2k
Regarding customs, last i remember the limit was 50k no tax I think they increased limit so someone can correct me. Anyway I just wore the watch and put the receipts in my bag cause I didn't want to risk it, which i recommend doing for anything

Would also suggest Timex - they have some good models for fairly cheap, even in India.
For both Hamilton and Orient, a trip to Singapore might be worth it but it would be a bit more expensive than Vietnam. Can get the 9% GST refund though in Singapore.
