Been 5 months without a job now

Hi,

I am a 2024 B.Tech CSE passout and I have worked as Decision Analytics Associate at ZS Associate for 2.5 months.

I have since been on the lookout for a job within analytics domain, but I have found no luck, have been applying relentlessly on LinkedIn with Easy Apply and also through companies career pages. I have also been asking out for referrals in this domain in which I have gotten some success but thing is I get the referral but then the companies either don't reach out or the person doesn't ever put in the referral.

Some referrals I do get, and for them I keep checking their status everyday but the process is taking forever to even begin with.

I recently contacted some HRs on LinkedIn where they were offering a role that was just basic analytics like Excel, some documentation and communication skills, but their budget was 6LPA, I don't know if I am being greedy but I think I would be comfortable in a 8-10 LPA. I am skilled in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Python, Presentations, Communications. The reason why I don't want to go for 6 LPA job is because when I will further switch companies that will become a bottleneck as increment would only be base salary.

What shall I do here? If I don't manage to get a decent job I would have no option left that to go for this job, as a passout the burden of not earning is massive specially when I have got a taste of working in corporate. I am looking for an opportunity where I get to prove myself again. If you or you have any contacts who can help me out in anyway it will be appreciates very much.

I'm open for positions like Data Analyst, Business Analyst, other positions in Analyst domains. I am primary targeting companies in Delhi NCR region.

These Analyst role are now already played by the business team itself so get out of that mindset that as you have worked as Analyst you will join only for Analyst work. From a CS background you should be focusing on getting into a software engineerinf role . Good Luck.
