Becoming VP at TCS
Want to know from enthusiastic and Fast trackers in TCS, If u r from good collage and background and getting average market salary in TCS, Can one work hard dreaming of becoming VP or Global Head someday ? If I just stay in TCS for 10 to 15 years with above average grades, will I get into upper management ?
15 years and global head🤣🤣🤣 Dude i hope you are from IIM A or some other hot shot college.... The career trajectories have slowed over the period in IT.... If you are B tech, you can hardly reach a position close to Delivery partner till you retire....
Looks like dream… when i asked same thing to my manager who is in tcs for 18 years… hardly we can get delivery manager role… above it is a trap you will not want to upgrade because there will slight change in salary and but huge change in responsibility. Business positions are favoured based most cases. If you have brought huge profits or clients always appreciate you for your work and if management thinks you are needed utmostttttt then they will promote one ladder that’s all. Vp ladder is 4 more ladders with favorism and politics
