Be confident and face the personal interviews whenever possible.
Hello guys,
I am a Recruitment Consultant, currently sourcing candidates for Sr. / Jr. Power BI Developer for Wakad Pune location for our clients. I experience very strange behaviour from candidates who are with 3 - 8 years experience. They are okay to work a full week from the office. But I do not want to face a personal interview, don't you think this is alarming for youth about their future?
I really can't tell the conclusion why they are not comfortable with personal interviews. But talking to some of them I realised that their confidence level has gone down and they are afraid of facing questions. But even on virtual interviews they ought to answer the same questions. This is going to be really challenging for them when they will get promoted for senior roles.
I advised such candidates to break silos and be confident to face challenges. This is your chance to get into the real world. Don't get into the comfort zone. Now opportunities are available hence you are throwing tantrums of not attending interviews. Look at the current condition of freshers, they are not getting jobs these days. You companies are looking for some experience because these candidates are readily available in the market. So, competition is really going to be tougher and survival of the fittest rule will be applicable soon.
Wake up and think over it. If you are getting an opportunity try to work from the office and learn some behavioural and management skills.
