Battery rickshaws in Bengaluru?

Why aren't there Battery rickshaws in Bengaluru, they are very common in Delhi NCR, they improve last mile connectivity and also are cheaper to operate. Is there a regulatory reason for it?

Interesting question . My take is Decisions are driven politically- Whom will it benefit ? Who will it upset?(Auto unions in this case )
