Sooo I feel like Bangalore is a city that lives on Hype, everyone is just trying to be cool and are too afraid of actually call out stuff for what they are.
Few examples (my personal opinion)
Eat Naru - itโs good ramen, but you can definitely find better or as good (bookings are sold out in minutes) Pizza 4Ps - Average pizza, great hospitality but not worth waiting for a booking a month in advance Ultrahuman ring - Itโs not even that accurate for that price March Tee - good T-shirt, but you can find so much better at that price point
I like to call this the Bangalore Hype Train xP
Totally Agree with this, everyone wants to get validation or some kind of approval from ultra rich or dumb influencers, I think it's totally influenced by Tech Cuties mostly from North India working in Startups (HSR, Koramangala). These dumbfucks who never stepped out of their world get excited for silly things, imagine people standing outside a biryani shop at 4am, people standing in a queue sandwich..uff this all insta validation stories matters for them, they seek happiness by impressing or making someone jealous of.
There usually is a mandatory twitter post after doing said activity as well ๐
Yeah, Tech cuties on Twitter with snap filters make single tech Bros go crazy about them ๐. These people are living in a different world by phuking some dopamine ganja ๐ค.
Add mokobara bags and berkinstak footware to list.
Mokobara quality is below average. And price is 3x the competitors
VIP brand for bags/suitcases have been using /hearing them since childhood...no hype, particular traditional business - these startups just over over hype
Heard this kinda crap is not relevant in old bangalore where the natives are much grounded and prefer to indulge in things in old bangalore at darshinis and templles and detest and hate the new bangalore mostly inhibited by the outsiders.
I'm living at home due to WFH and never ever even heard of anything you just mentioned. Not even from friends living in Blr or on insta. Feels like I'm living in a completely different world.
Yeah same. I live in Blr and never heard of these. ๐ถ
Haha... Same here ๐คฃ
Since I like food, I would like to comment on the places. Both might not be the best out there but they're the best in consistency. Other places are like a hit or miss. One day it's great, other day it's so-so.
True, Iโm from Bombay and honestly there are better places which are consistent - but thereโs no hype around it as much as Bangalore.
Bastian might be the most hyped place in India. I can definitely name a few more. Every city has the hype train that pushes the agenda of 'if you haven't eaten from here, you have not tried anything'.
Tech crowd of Bangalore is a circlejerk, and tries so hard to be SF/Bay Area.
Not limited to Bโlore. Wherever people have more money to spare than any actual use.

Instagram drives fomo have created epidemic of status driven consumption like โน2500 for a one hour class of pottery, strawberry picking for Rs. 2000.
What happened to free activities like playing morning cricket or enjoying IPL finale...
Finally someone said it ๐ Why is Staying at home looked down upon
Bangalore is the most scamiest place on Earth everyone is trying to loot us.
Sab instagram ka chakkar hai babu bhaiya
I'm leaving Bangalore on Sunday. Before I leave I want to have one meal at Naru. Can anyone possibly help here?
Summary: Bengaluru, renowned as the 'Startup Capital of India,' showcased its innovative spirit once again. A man captured a surprising moment of a walk-in apparel showroom, resembling a high-end fashion display within a truck.
What do ...
