One of the reson for increase in rent especially in Bangalore is these early 20s bachelors earning 20 to 30LPA, who think when splitted rent into 2 to 3 flatmates it will be less than 30K. They don't know the struggle once they get married and or is a single earner in the family.

It’s simply demand and supply. Supply growth flattened due to RERA. Demand increased due to return to office. End results are increased rents.

Supply reduced due to covid. Ongoing projects saw a delay. Projects about to launched were put on hold. But the thing is w/ so demand supply cycles is that it ultimately moves towards equilibrium. Price increases led to so many launches, all this inventory will come in 3 years & will put pressure on rentals.

Ohh yes, I yesterday, I saw my neighbor showing flat for 4-5 people at a time and some persons desperate raised the rent from 35k base to 42k as they were desperate. 😅 While many earleir in the society pay only 28k on an avg

Yes, rent in areas with tech companies are too high as people are willing to pay high. I know a few people who are even paying 60-80k for 3 bhk.
