Band/Rating/Hike

Hy buddies,

Could anyone help me understand the relation between the band and hike? If rating is the category to get increased in hike, then why is the band required?

Dude! There is no connection between rating and band. You can get anything A, B or C if your rating is 3.8 and above. Depends on your manager. Hike %age. A - 6-8% B - 3-6% C - 2-3%
