I am a Fresher who joined wipro recently. Can anyone explain how someone in rainbow band gets to Band B1 or higher?

Till 2years you consider as a NGA after you automatically moved from NGA to NON-NGA. B1(mandatory),B2/B3 so on so forth after 1year depends on your skill and performance & experience you will get it.

After completing 1year you will get B1 confirmation in system. Everyone gets it.

I was in Rainbow band. After 1 year I got automatically promoted to B1 band and after 1 year I am now at Band B2. But don't assume that your band is increasing so your salary will also increase.
