
Band disagreement
What if we don’t agree the band received and submitted the band disagreement.

This may help you get a better band next time but this time nothing will change!

There was no discussion, no one to one discussion, nothing happened before or while appraisal. They should have discussed right. There was no communication nothing at all. Just gave band even though it’s not at all justifiable.

Here in TCS (in fact anywhere) if you don’t ask them you won’t get it! Sorry to be blunt but it’s the harsh reality!

You have to give a solid reason for disagreement, it will hit to the HR. Then the discussion of this in unit level again. All the best ❤️

I have to explain my work and achievements…. Availablity and customer focus etc. …or other factors also need to point out…

Yes, your extra activities, your dependency on project, mention if you got any appreciation, worked within the SLA, properly documented all the tasks, any KT you have given. Any challenging task or automation you have done to ease the process of your work etc.

If you have submitted the disagreement then the next step would be a focused conversation with your manager and probably HR. Your best chances for future review is to prepare a business case where you can detail out your performance against the goals and attributes set for you and showcase with examples ( preferably quantifiable ) how you exceeded those metrics .
This coupled with RTO compliance , knowledge management compliance and other performance factors can hopefully trigger a more positive discussion for you.
