Background verification process

Need some help with Background verification in a MNC.

In my past experience:

  • I got laid off on May 2020
  • in July 2020 I got a job, did not like it and left early by Sept 2020
  • I joined a new company on Oct 2020

In my resume , I have skipped this experience and mentioned other dates correctly. I didn't think it would be relevant!

  1. Experience A - Till May 2020

  2. Experience C - from Oct 2020 - ..

  3. Would this be a problem for background verification?

  4. Should I inform the HR about this ?

Won't be an issue. Just be sure about what you write though. Mostly they check this

Can they not figure out from the PF account?

They can't access your PF passbook...only UAN and pf no...won't make a difference trust me...just mention i didn't do anything in those 2-3 months

Why 6 months exactly? Any specific reason?

When you fill professional details in the company’s portal, the system will check if the LWD (last working day) is less than 6 months or not. If it is more, system will not accept. May not be true for all MNCs, but happens in some of them for sure.
